Privacy policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Families trust us with sensitive information at a difficult time. This policy explains, in plain language, what information our website collects, why, who it is shared with and how to exercise your rights. It is written in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

01Who we are

Succession Privée is a service of Fiscalité Privée, operated by 9545-1191 Québec inc., 122, rue Saint-Lambert, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1C 0N8.

02Person in charge of the protection of personal information

Jean-Samuel Fortier, tax specialist, M. Fisc.

Phone: 819 238-1007
Address: 122, rue Saint-Lambert, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1C 0N8

03Information collected by the website

The website never asks for a social insurance number, financial documents or identification. Please do not enter any in the free-text field: these documents are collected later, through a secure channel, once the mandate is confirmed.

04Why we use it

Only to respond to your request: contact you, schedule the discovery call, send you the guide and, if you wish, prepare a service proposal. We do not sell your information, do no advertising profiling and never add you to a newsletter without your express consent.

05Your consent

You consent to these uses by checking the box provided before submitting a form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person named above.

06Sharing with third parties and hosting

Your information is accessible only to our team. To run the website, we use service providers that process it on our behalf and under our control: the host of the website and its form service (Netlify) and our business email (Microsoft 365).

Some of these providers may store information outside Quebec, notably in the United States. Before entrusting them with information, we assess that it will receive adequate protection, and this communication is governed by the providers' contractual commitments.

07Cookies and analytics

The website uses no advertising cookies or tracking tools. Fonts are hosted on our own website: no browsing data is sent to a third party for that purpose.

08Retention

A request that does not lead to a mandate is destroyed no later than 12 months after the last exchange. If a mandate is given, the information is added to the client file and kept for the period required by our professional and tax obligations, then securely destroyed.

09Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to information is limited to the people who need it to process your request, and we apply reasonable security measures given its sensitivity.

10Your rights

You may request access to your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or have its dissemination stopped. Write to the person named above: we respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

11Confidentiality incidents

In the event of an incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we promptly notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the persons concerned, and we record every incident in our register.

12Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
